Welcome from Redwolf24

[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.

Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

Redwolf24 The current date and time is 18 November 2024 T 17:49 UTC.

P.S. I like messages :-P

I see you had no welcoming, what an outrage! so there's one from me :)

Hey, thanks. BTW I voted for you. Peaceman

Invitation from WikiProject Chicago

[edit]

Hi, I have noticed that you have been fairly active in editing the Chicago article and other articles related to the city. I have recently started WikiProject Chicago, a WikiProject designed to coordinate improvment of Chicago related topics and to turn the Chicago main page into a featured article, and would very much like you to join us. In order to achieve our fairly ambitious goals, we need devoted members who know the city inside and out and are willing to contribute their time and talent. Please visit the Project Page if you are interested in joining. Thanks, --Gpyoung 9 July 2005 17:55 (UTC)

Sure, I'd be glad to help, but just so you know I live in nearby Wilmette. Thanks for the invitation! Peaceman 23:06, 9 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you have joined the Chicago WikiProject, welcome aboard, we really appreciate your willingness to help. Please post any suggestions you have and any areas you will be able to work on on the project page. Thanks, --Gpyoung talk 00:23, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Hi! Thanks for uploading some pictures from Chrono Trigger. Would you mind tagging them with copyright information? The one you'll most likely want to use is {{game-screenshot}}. Just put it in the image description page. If you upload other pictures in the future, please be sure to tag them with other copyright and source information as appropriate. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help. Thanks! :) kmccoy (talk) 04:44, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, no problem-o. Peaceman 23:56, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

2 image comments

[edit]
  1. I see that you have a image of the Chrono triger box on your profile. I also noticed that it is not the same image file as on the actual page. Since this is on your user page, i don't want to edit your page, but at the same time, there shouldn't be a duplicate of the same image on the site. Therefore, on the image in your profile, i recommend putting the tag {{db|duplicate of [[:Image:Chrono Trigger Front Cover.jpg]]}}, and link your profile to the image Image:Chrono Trigger Front Cover.jpg, that way, we eliminate the duplicate, and you can keep the game cover in your profile.
  2. I noticed you have your own Chrono triger image gallery. As a suggestion, to make it look nicer try using the <gallery></gallery> tags around all of the images like i did in my image gallery. It makes the pictures appear more presentable.
Thanks, I'll follow your advice. Peaceman 18:38, 13 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment at my bands page. Sorry it took me so long to reply, I forgot to put that page on Watchlist!!! Anyways, I'm up at RfA, vote me in! (or don't) Redwolf24 05:14, 16 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ebert

[edit]

The article for Friedrich Ebert was in fact much longer but some days ago the IP 213.166.17.17 deleted most of the article's content and mainly stated its opinion. Although all his edits/vandalizations were reverted, this one remained undiscovered for two days. Thanks for pointing it out.NightBeAsT 16:53, 17 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, no problem. It didn't occur to me that it was vandalism...Well thanks for clearing that up. Peaceman 16:57, 17 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Chrono Trigger Characters

[edit]

Wasn't sure if you'd see me reply on my own talk page so I came here. The only problem I forsee about moving the Epoch to the characters page is that the template does not really apply, it has a name and time period but beyond that... However, I believe in the dynamicness of Wikipedia and if you want to make the move, go ahead! I definitely think of the Epoch as the "eighth" character so go ahead and add the Cat, won't bother me. :)

Okay, cool. Peaceman 20:07, 20 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Chrono Trigger Wikibook

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to the wikibook so far. I'd like to set it up so it has a few images to illustrate the content, some overworld maps and stuff like that. Are your Chrono media files uploaded to wiki commons so they can be used on other wikis, or would they have to be re-uploaded?

It would also be nice to decisively figure out which actions affect which juror during the trial sequence. I've got a few nailed down but it's going to take some more experimentation.

Let me know if you have any comments or corrections and you're welcome to help fill things in. [1] --BigCow 22:53, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My pleasure :) Peaceman 17:42, 24 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Um...we probably need to reupload the pics. I can do that. Peaceman 18:00, 24 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That'd be quite helpful, I've polished off most of the textual guide content by now. Any update?--BigCow 18:12, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I've been waaay too busy these last couple of weeks...and with the fencing season coming up, I dont know how much time I'll have. If you have time, can you upload my images to MediaWiki? I'd greatly appreciate it. Peaceman 21:37, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:Belthasar.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Belthasar.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

Thanks for uploading Image:Death of zeal.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

Re: Response to your image tagging message

[edit]

See if you can find the same (or a similar) image with a quick image Google search. If you find one, overwrite the one you have previously uploaded and provide links for both the page that contains the image and the image itself. If you can't, specify that you have obtained the screenshot with an emulator. The screenshot tag is valid for both your own screenshots and screenshots found in other internet sites.

I believe you could tag it with an open/free tag, since it was your creation, but I am not sure about that yet.

In any case (found another, or decide to clarify it was done with an emulator), try to add a fair use rationale disclaimer. See the examples there. With that, you should be able to remove the tag. Thanks for your interest! -- ReyBrujo 21:50, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Peaceman,

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the GPA chart I put on the talk page of your high school's article. Before I put it into the article though, I would like to be able to properly cite the source of this information. To this end, I was hoping that you could fill out the following citation template with as much information about the 06-07 Program of Studies as is available.

{{cite book | last = | first = | authorlink = | coauthors = | title = | publisher = | date = | location = | url =http://www.newtrier.k12.il.us/information/pub/pos/index.htm | doi = | id = }}

Thank you for any help you can provide me on this and it would be great if you would be willing to help fill in some of the other gaps in the New Trier article. Either way, thank you again for your help.--Dekkanar 00:31, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Peaceman3.jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Peaceman3.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 01:52, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
